COMBINED ANNUAL MEETING & PRESENTATION LUNCHEON
Notice is hereby given that the 79th Annual General Meeting of the
N.S.W. Union of Rowers Inc. will take place on Sunday, 22nd August at St
George Rowing Club, 1 Levey Street, Wolli Creek (near International
Airport Terminal) at 11.00am followed by the Annual Presentation
Luncheon.

- Consideration of the 2009-10 Annual Report & Financial Statement.
- Election of Office Bearers for 2010-2011.

TRANSPORT
A 20 seat bus will depart Nepean Rowing Club at 9.30am (John Campbell
chauffer) and travel down Victoria Road via Ryde, Gladesville and
Drummoyne to Rozelle, then across to Annandale, Stanmore, Enmore and
Tempe. The bus will depart St George around 3.00pm for the return trip.

PRESENTATION LUNCHEON
The Union's Presentation Luncheon will follow the Annual Meeting at St
George Rowing Club and will commence at noon. This years Guest Speaker
will be Norma Perry, first lady President of the NSWRA, her topic "What
the future holds for NSW Rowing."
Our special young guests will be the 2010 Youth Development Award
Recipients. A sumptuous buffet with table wines will be provided. Cost $30 a head.

2010 YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AWARDS

Each will receive a $750 scholarship and a 5 year membership of the Union at the Presentation Luncheon
J. B. SHARP MEMORIAL REGATTA SERIES
The finale of the 86th Series is at Leichhardt on the 8th August
(9.30am) with a Presentation Barbecue following at 1.00 pm. The Union
will be organising the catering. The trophies for the various point
scores will be presented to the successful clubs together with three LEA
Insurance Brokers Scholarships. One thousand dollars each will be
awarded to the most promising boy and girl competitor of the Series. The
emerging club coach of the Series will be awarded $ 500.
All are welcome to join the conclusion of a great Series.
Due to the popularity of the polo shirts 20 more white ones are now in
stock. Sizes available are S, M, L & XL. Please email or phone your

NEW MEMBERS
Welcome Caroline Lorking from Noosa to the Union, helping to keep our
Queensland connections prospering and Norma Perry from North Shore (RNSW
President). Membership forms are available from the Union's website and
we urge you to sign up your rowing friends and keep your Union growing.
2010 SCHOLARSHIP CLUB
This years club is off to a flying start with over 100 subscribers
signed up. Tickets are $25 each and payment can be made by cheque or
electronically transfer to the Union's bank account at the CBA Five Dock

increasing our term deposit and youth scholarship support.
